Walter Steele papers, 1849-1891.

Papers consist of two photographs, a letter, an invitation, a calling card of Walter Steele, and a Red Cross service medal given to Mary Stein (granddaughter of Walter Steele) by her aunt. Letter (1891 May 11) to Mrs. Charles W. Stein (daughter of Walter Steele) from John W. Ward concerns a memorial to Walter Steele by the Survivor's Association of Charleston District. Photographs consist of a portrait of Walter Steele in military uniform and a picture of Walter Steele with an unidentified man.
